CHEST Bridging Specialties®: Timely Diagnosis for ILD
Quality Improvement Demonstration RFP
CHEST invites interested applicants to submit proposals to deploy a Quality Improvement (QI) demonstration project in support of the goals of the Bridging Specialties initiative. Bridging Specialties® is a program developed by CHEST and Three Lakes Foundation with the goal to reduce time to diagnosis among patients with Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) such as Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Purpose
The purpose of this RFP is to improve physicians’ ability to identify, assess, refer, and coordinate care of patients with suspected ILD to ensure timely and accurate diagnosis to improve outcomes and quality of life. The aim is to assess the efficacy of a toolkit developed by CHEST through operationalizing its use in practice settings and collecting outcomes to evaluate impact.
CHEST seeks to address gaps in knowledge among primary and specialty care by testing the use of the toolkit of ILD assets and resources in practice through issuance of this RFP.
Specifically, CHEST is interested in applicants that can demonstrate the ability to access the educational resources available within the toolkit and apply them in encounters with patients and collect data to help inform the impact of the toolkit in shortening the time to diagnosis while also evaluating treatment outcomes through coordination with specialty care.
Amount of Funding
Funding available for this RFP is $300,000. Up to two grants of $150,000 each will be distributed.
