CHEST/ALA Guideline Implementation Research Grant for COPD Management
Application Deadline:
Monday, June 9, 2025
Grant Amount:
$120,000 two-year grant (second year contingent on progress in year one)
This grant is jointly supported by CHEST and the American Lung Association (ALA).
Proposal focus
CHEST, in partnership with ALA, invites applications for implementation research focused on COPD. Of specific interest are evidence-based interventions (eg, identifying barriers/facilitators, smoking cessation, digital health tools, methods for reduced exposure to triggers) in those with COPD. Studies that aim to evaluate equitable implementation of interventions focused on addressing health disparities in underrepresented communities—with consideration of exposures such as allergens, pollutants, smoking/vaping, environmental smoke such as wildfires, and other irritants that contribute to respiratory disease—are especially encouraged.
